The Political Dead
I see a disturbing trend going on. Some of it has to do with the US election right now, people are drawing up lines in the proverbial sand. Picking sides. Putting others down while they make their point. I started to enjoy talking politics but once names start to be called, I’m out. I think partly that has to do with the way society is going right now. People are not held accountable for their actions. They start looking for others to create their successes in life and they start knocking down other people once they have achieved success.
Where have our values gone?
I learned at a very young age that the only person that you are responsible for is yourself. You are in charge of your own destiny. Yes I realize everybody has hardships, you may be going through one right now but trust me there is light at the end of that tunnel. Here are ways to add some positivity in your life and attract success.
First of all, you have to define success. What does success mean to you? The meaning of success is different for everybody. Then make time to exercise. It’s no secret that all the top CEO’s and successful people in our lifetime exercise. But what if you don’t have time to exercise? Make time, it’s that simple and exercise is that important. The benefits of exercise are endless. Still, don’t believe me? Here are some facts.
-up to a 35% lower risk of coronary heart disease and stroke
-up to a 50% lower risk of type 2 diabetes
-up to a 50% lower risk of colon cancer
-up to a 20% lower risk of breast cancer
-a 30% lower risk of early death
-up to an 83% lower risk of osteoarthritis
-up to a 68% lower risk of hip fracture
-a 30% lower risk of falls (among older adults)
-up to a 30% lower risk of depression
-up to a 30% lower risk of dementia
Those are just a handful of benefits. There are a lot more where that came from but you get the point. Exercise also adds positivity in people’s lives as well. It gets them thinking that anything is possible.
You know what doesn’t add positivity in people’s lives? Worrying about things they can’t control like politics. Watching negative tv shows like The Walking Dead hence where the title of this blog came from. (Has anyone seen the last episode of Season 7!?- huge downer).
Worrying and negativity spread disease.
Be positive. Be that role model for your kids or wife or husband.
It all starts with your mindset!
