Strength Finder
I have been told if you look up in the dictionary “persistence” you will come across my face in the dictionary. I was quite flattered by that comment especially since it came from someone who I highly respect in the fitness industry.
From trying to get into the military as a firefighter, I never gave up to get into the trade even though the trade was closed. I went to the recruitment office every week to find out it was closed, it got to the point where the recruiters knew my name and then came my lucky day the trade was open. That wasn’t the end of it, I wrote the aptitude test but with my scores I didn’t get the firefighter trade as an option so I had to do something which was unheard of. I studied for the aptitude test. I received looks of shock when I was telling people I was studying for it. It was out of the ordinary.
Fast forward to my time now as I am training for my SFG Kettlebell certification. The journey is almost taking me four years but I’m getting better even though my progress is really slow.
But this blog topic isn’t about me. It’s about you. I told you what my strength was, what’s yours? Forget about working on your weak points. Work on your strongest point. That is what you can offer to the table, and that’s what makes you unique in the world.
Also be prepared to do things out of the ordinary to accomplish your dreams. Yes, you will be ridiculed for it, but you will be the one laughing in the end.
