Why Warming Up Is Essential
Just like my blog yesterday I talked about how I had templates to design exercise programs, I use templates for my warm ups with clients as well.
Warm ups are essential to do before you lift heavy weights because you want to make sure you have your mind right but most importantly you want to warm up your body. Think about an elastic band, what happens to the elastic band when it’s cold? It snaps that could very well be your muscles if you don’t warm up properly.
A warm up should last five to ten minutes, but depending how-how severely deconditioned a client is I may make the warm up last longer.
I will show you three warm ups that I do, the first one- anyone can do no matter what your fitness level is, as all of the exercises are on the ground. In the second video, it’s more of a dynamic warmup – lots of hopping and stretching while the third video is something that I give to more advanced clients.
Do Two sets of each.
Enjoy.
